,,Hello!" - that is a little bit of introduction

Are you tired of endless winter outside? Drizzles, clouds and rainy, rainy, RAINY weather? Yeah, so   am I... So, let's start planning holidays - that is the way! Are you devoid of ideas? Maybe you want to spend your free time in some special place? Or you're just out of money, so you have to say ,,good bye" to your ideas of sightseeing NY... Well. Just stay at my blog and read a little bit about some beautiful part of Poland, calls Kashubia. In next 12 posts, I'm going to encourage you to see it by yourself.
Kashubia lie in the north of country, at the seaside. It made a reputation as a place, ,,which has everything" - forests, lakes, sand dunes, seaside... ,,You can't win them all?" - not here! It's such a paradise for those, who want to rest actively - walking, cycling, swimming or just lay nearby the lake and sunbathing it the wonderful surroundings.

This region has its own parlance – not just a local dialect, but a regional, west-slavic language. The oldest text comes from 1402r. Of course, today Kashubian language is more common among the older generation in daily usage, but exists a possibility of learning it at schools and studying it, if somebody wants to (and even passing it in the matura exam!).  This language is quite similar to Polish, and a little bit to German, but it has got its own alphabet.

This is a picture of a very popular Kashubian song calls Kaszëbsczé nótë (Kashubian notes)

If you travel through Kashubia, you can see the boards with the names of the cities and villages in two languages: Polish and Kashubian. It builds a local, cultural identity.

Did I make you more curiouis? I hope so. See you in next post! Do ùzdrzeniô!
